Like a sip of clean water,
like a warm meal.
“Onmaum” means “with all our heart.” We are a small giving project that brings warm meals and learning to children in Kenya, and clean water to villages in Malawi.
Our story
Onmaum began with a small gift exchanged between two people: a well given in each other's name. Those wells became the everyday clean water of a village in Malawi, and taught us that a heart for one another can reach much further than we imagined.
Today, a couple and their close friends gather small hearts to bring warm meals and learning to children in Kenya. For trust and transparency we carefully chose GoodMind Foundation (재단법인 선한뜻): every donation goes directly to the foundation, and every donor can receive an individual official donation receipt.
Looking ahead, we hope to grow steadily and transparently with more Onmaum Hearts, keep the Kenya meals and education project going, and share how funds were used through our regular newsletter. We hope more people will join us in caring.
Kenya: a meal and a classroom
Together with GoodMind Foundation, Onmaum supports warm school lunches and learning at five Maasai schools in Kenya, reaching about 1,187 children. A meal protects today; education changes tomorrow. For example, around ₩300,000 a month goes a long way toward keeping school lunches and classrooms running. Our monthly newsletter reports how every gift is used.
Malawi: Water is Life
Deep borehole wells bring safe water to villages that once relied on shallow, contaminated pits, giving children back the hours they spent carrying water.
Onmaum Hearts
Each supporter becomes an “Onmaum Heart.” Thank you to everyone whose heart is part of this story.
Leave a few kind words
A message for the children in Kenya, the villages in Malawi, or everyone walking with us. Korean or English are both welcome.
